Great answers everyone! I may not be replying, but rest assured, I am reading everything. What a pleasant surprise! Never heard about it until Getting Over It due to not playing phones games, like, ever. There's many titles mixed in with those that look crappy, but aren't.Īlso, turns out, Desert Golfing is actually sort of a hit on phones/IOS. Steam gets like 20 new releases a day which I go through, and the majority of it is cheaply made garbage, like non-stop hentai puzzlers, match 3 games, crappy platformers, stolen asset heavy FPS games and the like (steam has totally lost any quality control it ever had). ![]() More is ok, but I'm just looking for the stuff that is extremely unlikely to go noticed or get any attention by most people. I'm really just looking for the titles which most normal people would skip over when checking the latest 20+ releases on steam daily, possibly assuming the game is low quality trash with nothing interesting about it, when in reality, there's something special.ĮDIT: Almost 500 comments, so perhaps a little late for this, but when I said "Like" less than 100 reviews, I'm not being concrete here. ![]() What a "gem" is is totally subjective so whatever is cool. Even after the release of Getting Over It, Desert Golfing is still very much obscure and barely has any attention. The only reason I even know about Desert Golfing is because it's listed as a recommendation in the end credits of "Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy", not because it was ever promoted by steam or anyone really. I see many titles of similar popularity come up in these threads. Nor is stuff like Terraria, Oneshot, A Hat in Time, or EYE: Divine Cybermancy. Not to demean anyone's sense of taste, but stuff like Recettear, Mount and Blade, Talos Principle, LISA, and Factorio are not really obscure titles. Seriously obscure stuff that even people who are heavily into gaming may never have heard of. I'm talking more stuff like Desert Golfing. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
